Ottoman (PDF) Here is a good cabinetmaking project that will create an attractive, compact piece of furniture to grace any home. It uses commonly available solid sapele and sapele-faced MDF or ply, which needs a dark mahogany finish to look its best. It has a foam cushion on the top and useful storage inside.

Stool, Foot My wife and I recently purchased one of those glider/rocker chairs. To go with the rocker, we decided that a footstool was in order. Note that we're not thinking about a tall ottoman, where you rest your feet and calves. No, just a short 5-inch tall foot stool, to get my wife's feet up off the floor.

Stool, Foot This is a very simple project. Only adult woodcrafters should use a drill or drill press to make the holes in this item. The entire project is constructed from 3/4?pine planking boards. There are only four (4) pieces in this project.

Stool, Foot - Bulldog A fun, useful, weekend project. Text and photos by Tom Hintz - This is actually my first project with turned parts. For my first attempt, I'm happy with it. OK, my Bulldog footstool does not have the Far Eastern fluidity of line David Marks (DIY Woodworking) touts, and His Normness (The New Yankee Workshop) might not be enthralled by the proportions. Nevertheless, my wife likes it, and I had a good time building it.
