Bed frame, Building a
zI figured [it] would be nice for a headboard for a bed, and I wanted to build a new bed frame anyway. So I bought the lumber and started working away at it. I decided to go with a non-square shape for the panels. I first cut out the basic shape with a bandsaw, and then put it together with square mortise and tenon joints.

zWhen our girl was a little over 1 year old, she started climbing out of her crib, creating a potential for a dangerous fall. So, I went looking for a nice low toddler bed. What I found was of such bad quality I wondered if the bed would even last as long as my daughter would need it. Since I already built bunk beds, I thought the toddler bed would not be too difficult to build.

zA toddler bed is a great way to help your child make the transition from the crib to the bed, while still sleeping in a fun, cozy place designed just for him or her.
